Cast Aluminium Furniture
Cast aluminium furniture is extremely popular in the United States and
Germany and it is becoming increasingly popular in the United Kingdom.
It has two main advantages over wooden furniture; it is less heavy and
therefore more manageable and it is virtually maintenance free. In most
cases it is also cheaper to purchase. Our furniture is hand ground and
polished. All table and chair legs have adjustable feet for use
on uneven surfaces. All cast aluminium products are treated and powder
coated to help prevent rusting. Tables and chairs are supplied with stainless steel fixings. (stacking chairs are welded). We also supply plastic end caps to cover exposed nuts and bolts. This guarantees that your furniture, really is, maintenance free down to the finest detail.
Care of your furniture
Basic care of your furniture will ensure that it provides you
with many years of satisfaction. The anti-corrosive treatments applied to
the furniture will prevent rusting but if the surface is chipped or scratched,
it should be re-painted using a metallic paint, without delay. After a number
of years, the natural elements may cause the colour to fade and the furniture
to loose its clarity. If this occurs, repainting will restore its original
appearance. If you do live in an area with a high salt content in the atmosphere,
please wash your furniture regularly with fresh water. Minor scratches or
blemishes may sometimes occur during transit despite very careful protective
packing. This is easily curable using touch up paint. Our cast aluminium fountains
are supplied with low voltage pumps. If you are using these outdoors these
should be connected to an external power supply fitted with an rcd (residual
current device) We recommend that you consult a qualified electrician if at
all in doubt.
